Prof. Chun Yang, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
 
Dr. YANG Chun is Professor and Associate Chair of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Dr. Yang received his Ph.D degree from University of Alberta in 1999, had a Master’s degree from University of Science and Technology of China in 1988, and a Bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University in 1985. From 1988 to 1994, he had taught at the Shanghai Institute of Electric Power. In December 1999, he joined NTU. He has carried out extensive experimental, theoretical and numerical studies of micro- and nano-scale thermofluid transport with emphasis on interfacial effects. He has published about 220 journal papers, delivered some 20 invited talks and is associated with more than 160 contributed conference presentations and posters. According to ISI Web of Science, his published works are highly cited with an H-index of 42 and a total citation > 8000 times. He is an elected ASME Fellow, and currently is an Editorial advisory board member for Microfluidics and Nanofluidics (Springer-Verlag Publishers), an Editor for International Communications on Heat and Mass Transfer (Elsevier), and Co-Editor for Journal of Modern Mechanical Engineering and Technology. He is a reviewer for National Science Award of China and China Chang Jiang Scholar Award. He has graduated 25 Ph.D. students; among them 2 won the prestigious Overseas Students Scholarship Award provided by Chinese government and 2 are full professors on China’s 1000 young talents program.
